Youth Achievements:

During my youth sailing career, I achieved notable milestones. I secured 2nd place at the ISAF Youth World Championship in the ILCA 6 class and represented my country at the Youth Olympic Games, finishing in 12th place. At the Eurosaf Youth European Championship, I earned 3rd place, showcasing my skills against top competitors. Additionally, I became a four-time National Champion in the ILCA 4 and ILCA 6 classes.

Zan Luka shared his journey with us:

I first encountered coaching in the Byte CII class, where I had the privilege of helping Mária Érdi and Jonathan Vadnai secure World Championship titles. Later, I became actively involved with the sailing club in Maribor, where I occasionally coached Optimist and ILCA 4 sailors.

At the U21 World Championship, I achieved a 2nd-place finish in the ILCA 6 class alongside Basileia Carahaliou. Following that achievement, I shifted my focus more towards my sailing career but continued to work occasionally with Slovenian juniors in the ILCA 6 and ILCA 7 classes, as well as with Optimist sailors in Maribor.

Coaching has always been my passion and joy. I genuinely love sharing my knowledge and inspiring fellow sailors to reach their full potential.
